Amorn Thai: Mountlake Terrace should thank their lucky stars that this place moved in: WOW!!!! This is one of the best Thai places I have had the pleasure of eating at and I amke it a regular now as a result. I am spreading the word: Amorn Thai is the bomb! Check it out the next time you are passing thru - it is only about a mile off I-5 from the Mountlake Terrace 236th St Exit, take a left on 56th and Amorn Thai is on the left past Roger's Grocery.

My recommendation: Their Phad Thai is wonderful, their Thai tea is yummy. Do not miss their spicy plum sauce. It normally comes with the appetizer fried Tofu, but we order our spring rolls with it instead of the regular sauce. Delish!

The Mountlake Terrace Library...

The Sno-Isle Regional Library System is pretty fabulous, but I really like the Mountlake Terrace Branch. I love the bear sculptures outside and the drive up drop off box is supreme. This library is a great asset to the community -

Exciting plans for all ages starting Monday the 18th with a great school age Bug School Musical program at 2. There are teen programs and baby story times!

The library is FREE. The events in August are also free.

One of my favorite things about Mountlake Terrace is that once a year the city puts on the annual garage sale. This weekend, you can literally drive around to hundreds of garage sales! It is quite the neighborhood thing to do, too - The city encourages clean up by allowing garage sales all weekend without a permit and people come out for this event! After all the garage sales are over, Waste Management picks up UNLIMITED trash from their customers on trash day. What a great way to clean up the city and allow some of those old things not needed anymore to be reused!
