Every year in a little town called Port Angeles, Washington (population 18,982) is a two day community event known as The Dungeness crab and Seafood festival. They have this community festival to celebrate the cultural traditions from the local Elwah Native Americans, enjoy gathering as a community and to spend time overlooking the Straits of Juan De Fuca and the breath taking view of Victoria, British Columbia.
The absolute beauty of this yearly festival, held in the month of October is not only it's location and the colorful gathering of people but it is also that there is nowhere else to get a whole freshly caught Dungeness crab with a side of coleslaw and sweet corn on the cob that is locally grown and that tastes this good!(Yum!) Not only is there Dungeness crab but there are a variety of options because the festival is filled with a tasteful spread of many different booths from local vendors that just happen to be ran by the finest local restaurants in Port Angeles.(To view the vendor's menu and which restaurants participate as vendors click here. http://www.crabfestival.org/city-pier.html)

There are only a select few crabs that have a tag on them which is what you aim for. If you catch a tagged crab a special prize will be given.
