School is out on June 10th, 2011 for Pullman WA kids that attend Pullman Unified School District. It's that time of year! Kids are thrilled to be out of school and parents are worried about what their kids can do to keep themselves occupied during the Summer.

If you're one of those parents wondering what options there are in Pullman WA for the Summer? Look into the Cougar Kids Camp held at Washington State Univeristy! The camp is held at the beautiful Rec Center located on the WSU campus. It's close by and lots of fun for kids entering Grades 1 to 6. The activities include many sport activities like rock climbing, swimming and fun sports. These are all planned around weekly themes that encourage participation and lots of fun!

Mom's weekend at WSU is fast approaching and the entertainment is fantastic this year. On April 9th, 2011, at 7:30 pm, we have two of the new and upcoming artists come visit the Palouse. Scheduled to perform are Colbie Caillat and Lee DeWyze. The following is information that was listed through the WSU events website:
Armed simply with her dusky vocals and acoustic guitar, Colbie Caillat and her homespun music continue to resonate with listeners and win new fans. USA Today puts her in the company of other platinum plus artists like Sara Bareilles, Caillat's musical hero Jack Johnson, and her good friend and duet partner, Jason Mraz.
As Caillat told USA Today, "[my] songs are optimistic and bright. I grew up in southern California and Hawaii. The lifestyle was laid back and I listened to mellow, positive music, like Bob Marley and Jack Johnson. So I think that's all inside me. I'm happy, and that gets expressed in my music."
Lee DeWyze auditioned in Chicago for the ninth season of American Idol with the song "Ain't No Sunshine."
During Hollywood week his group included Aaron Kelly and Crystal Bowersox, all of whom made the Top 5. Crystal Bowersox and DeWyze made it to the top two.
DeWyze was one of two contestants in Season 9 to never land in the bottom three. The judges praised him for shedding his shy persona throughout the season and showing, with confidence, that he was "in it to win it."
On May 26, DeWyze was crowned the winner of American Idol Season 9.

Tickets are currently on sale at the Beasley Coliseum Box Office, U of I Kibbie Dome, and TicketsWest outlets. This should be a great time for moms, sons and daughters....anyone looking to enjoy incredible music
