I was hanging out with some friends of mine at the Lakeshore Retirement Home. I posted about it a few weeks back and a few things are still lingering in my thoughts.
I'm eyeing that vintage old Buick.
As I look over the hood, I'm loving that hood ornament. Man, they don't make em like that anymore! Then my eyes fall upon that great big beautiful full figured red 1952 DeSoto! I'm loving your big body and your robust curves. I'm in love. You got attitude.
My Dad had a 1952 Plymouth (the working man's version). It was not as luxurious as the Desoto, but it had the same body, different grill etc, and seats that were much like our front room davenport at the time, maybe better!
The DeSoto was a Chrysler product and quite innovative in its day. It began as a mid-entry brand. After Chrysler gobbled up Plymouth and Dodge they had too many competing "mid priced" models. The DeSoto was doomed to fail.
The 52 was one of my favorite DeSoto models. I love your big body and your robust curves!
