Why It Makes Sense to Use A Seattle Real Estate Agent

Adrian Willanger: Real Estate Agent in Seattle, WA
Why It Makes Sense to Use A Seattle Real Estate Agent Working with a Seattle real estate agent is the only way to sell your home that makes sense. You hear about all of the fear and uncertainty that a lot of people go through when purchasing their first home, well a lot of them are trying to do it on their own.

But I want to save the commission fees...

Of course you do! You probably could fix your own transmission on your car too if you took a mechanics course and you would save a lot of money by doing it on your own. But is it really cost efficient? How much time would you have to take to learn enough about fixing a transmission to really tackle the job? In the meantime would you rent a car? Take taxis? Hmmm. You can see that it really doesn't make a lot of sense.

Well… fixing a transmission is technical

So what? Selling or buying a house is legal. A real estate contract is probably the most influential piece of paper that you'll have to sign in your life. Why would you take a chance on not handling it properly and securely?

Again, it doesn't make any sense.

Now let's discuss the cost benefits of doing a home sale on your own. You think you'll save some money. You might - but have you checked out the high cost of advertising these days? You won't have access to the NWMLS, which is where almost everybody that is looking for a house searches. In fact, most people turn to the Internet to browse through the NWMLS to find their next Seattle home. If you are doing it on your own your home won't be there.

So you'll have to cover all of the advertising costs. Don't think that putting up one ad on a local free classified site is going to cut it either. No, you'll have to do much more than that! These costs will add up fast too.

Hiring a Seattle real estate agent makes sense and there is no way around it. It is basically the only way to ensure that your home will be seen by the most potential buyers possible which will equal a faster sale.
