Come support the Sedro-Woolley School's Foundation! This Wednesday, June 9th you can support the SW School District by dining at Applebee's, located in Burlington by the Cascade Mall. Diners must bring with them one of the fundraising flyer's that have been distributed throughout the city in order for the proceeds of their meal to be donated.
15% of all the proceeds will then be donated by Applebee's!
And if you don't have time to sit down and eat, call and place an order to go as this fundraiser also includes to-go and car-side orders. *** Remember without the flyer the donation will NOT be awarded to the Sedro-Woolley Schools Foundation, so make sure you have it with you! ***
Established in 1998, the Sedro-Woolley Schools foundation is a non-profit group that was privately formed to raise funds and provide resources that work to greatly benefit and further advance the educational experiences of our children.
The members of the Sedro-Woolley Schools Foundation include district personal and community members, all of whom are truly dedicated and committed to the wonderful students of the Sedro-Woolley School District.
Donations help to provide funds for items such as student-related projects & activities, educational equipment and supplemental learning materials among many other things.
So please join us at Applebee's tomorrow June 9th or on Wednesday, June 16thto help support the students within the Sedro-Woolley community.

Just wanted to wish Good Luck to the Sedro-Woolley High School Fastpitch team who finished 2nd last weekend at Districts to qualify for the State Tournament this weekend at SERA fields in Tacoma. Due to the inclement weather the tournament which was originally scheduled to begin today will begin instead tomorrow. The Sedro-Woolley Cubs will take on Union High School as their first round opponent tomorrow morning at 11: 30am.
Best of Luck to Sedro-Woolley! Live. Breathe. Enjoy. Each and every moment! Take it all in. Go Cubs!
That being said this time of year always brings back such wonderful memories for me. If I could relive one thing from high school it would be each spring's softball season. From freshman year all the way to my senior year at Sedro-Woolley the experiences that I had playing fastpitch were some of the best times of my life. Qualifying for the state tournament all four years was an amazing feat. My senior year was an absolute dream; not only finishing with a record season by going 25 and 1 we were able to resiliently cap it all off with a 3rd place finish. And although not the place we had all hoped and worked so hard for, it was an accomplishment that I am incredibly proud of to this very day!
The game of softball has given me so very much. From work ethic and goal-setting to relationship building and time management; the lessons that athletics both in high school (Sedro-Woolley) and in college (University of Oregon) has bestowed upon me have in turn become the building blocks and foundation to how I live my life each and every day!
So if you have no plans for the weekend head on down to Tacoma and cheer on the current Sedro-Woolley Cubs as they make their run for the state title!
Also, Congratulations to the La Conner and Anacortes High School Fastpitch programs who are also competing this weekend in their respective divisions at the state tournament.

2002 -3rd Place Sedro-Woolley Fastpitch Team
