One of my favorite running spots in the Seattle area is Hamlin Park in Shoreline. The entrance is located
on 15th NE and NE 160th.
I was introduced to Hamlin Park during my Adventure BootCamp days a couple of years ago and I have continued to go back for trail running every week, rain, snow or sunshine.
The trail runs through the forest (so I never get wet when it's raining!), up and down hills and is about one and a half miles long. Sometimes I run the trail two or three times but mostly it is just nice for a quick getaway to clear my head. A bonus is seeing a pileated woodpecker or hummingbird!
The trail markers look kind of mystical and the same guy comes to the park almost daily to rebuild what the kids knock down.
Hamlin Park is eighty acres and was renovated this winter with an updated baseball field, children's play area and a more defined walking trail. It is also a popular spot for company picnics, geocaching and sports.

Want great real estate? Shoreline Wa came in at number 2 just under Kenmore for best neighborhoods to live in in Seattle. Seattle Magazine took all Seattle neighborhoods and suburbs and grouped them together to compare all the great neighborhoods together to see how they measured up against each other.
The results?
Shoreline came in at #2 and ranked higher than any other actual in city Seattle neighborhood! This should make you proud Shoreline! We already knew that there are great parks and schools here, but did you know the median home price in Shoreline WA is $345,000. That is a lot of bang for your buck when stacked up against other great neighborhoods!
So if you are interested in Shoreline real estate, then come check out this cool Puget Sound waterfront Seattle suburb!

I live in the North City neighborhood of Shoreline. I recently volunteered to be the representative for our neighborhood to the Council of Neighborhoods and to revitalize our neighborhood association. The first revitalization meeting was held on September 23 and the turnout was great. The numbers weren't huge but the enthusiasm was. Several people volunteered to work with me on getting the association active and getting neighbors connected. I am so excited and honored to have this opportunity. We have an outstanding neighborhood.

Several years ago, when I was busy studying for my Real Estate exam, I stumbled upon a little-known coffee house in Shoreline, called "Hotwire Coffee House". I'm not sure if anyone outside of Shoreline (and its other West Seattle location) really knows about it so I thought I'd write up a quick blog about it.
Hotwire is growing in popularity, partly because of its large open space, big tables, and great pastries. But the biggest reason must be the coffee itself. Several of the Hotwire baristas have competed in US Barista Championships, so you know your espresso will be perfectly pulled. Oh, and every drink comes standard with two shots - now you're talkin'!
There's also free Wi-Fi access (with purchase) along with some big, poofy chairs to sit in.
They're located at 17551 15th Ave NE, in Shoreline, WA. Or you can visit the website at: Http://www.hotwirecoffee.com.
