Enjoy this event on the Waterfront in quaint Stevenson Washington!

Music this year will include: “The Strangetones” “The Tess Barr Blues Band”, and “Too Slim and the Taildraggers” You will enjoy local musicians between sets.

Food includes tasty barbecue from Whiskey Flats, Mr. Oinks, Outlaw BBQ and more from Columbia Valley Cones, Corner Stone Coffee House, Stevenson Eagles, and Bad Kitty BBQ.

Beer on tap includes Stevenson's own Walking Man, along with Full Sail, Double Mountain, Big Horse Brewery, Salmon Creek, Snipes Mountain, Lompoc, Lazy Boy, Roots, and Amnesia. There will also be wine from Wind River Cellars, Pheasant Valley, North SHore, Erin Glenn, Cor,North Shore, Syncline, Memaloose, Viento, and Shady Grove Wineries.

Admission is $10 per person which includes your choice of beer mug or wine glass. You can even purchase your ticket in advance rather than waiting in line. Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center

On Saturday May 16, 2009 The Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center Museum will be celebrating their 14th Anniversary. Admission will be free. The annual general membership meeting of the Skamania County Historical Society will also be held.

Beginning at 11:00 festivities will include a flag raising ceremony, live music, demonstrations, refreshments and more. The museum is located in Stevenson, WA. For more details call the museum at 509-427-8211.

Kyle Petty Charity Ride

On Friday morning, May 8, 2009 you are in for a treat! The riders with the Kyle Petty Charity Ride will begin their cross-country journey in Stevenson, Washington. At 7:30 a.m. over 120 motorcyclists will leave the Skamania Lodge and travel on Highway 14 through Stevenson. They will turn down Columbia Ave. to First St. then back to the highway and head towards the Bridge of the Gods. There will be U.S. flags out to greet the riders compliments of the Lion's Club.

Kyle Petty, NASCAR driver and trip founder, will lead the group which will also include Stevenson's Mayor Dave McKenzie and some other celebrities such as NFL star Herschel Walker and pro golfer Davis Love. This two-week trip is a fundraiser for Victory Junction which is a camp for chronically ill children in North Carolina.

The students at Wind River Middle School will be donating the proceeds from their next dance to the cause. Students and staff from Stevenson Elementary School have created wonderful cards welcoming the participants to Stevenson.
