Lapellah Restaurant will be closed to the public Christmas Day, but the staff will be still be hard at work cooking and delivering house-cured ham dinners for some very special customers.

Executive chef David Mork, has coordinated with the YWCA and Salvation Army to provide 72 dinners to 12 families.... Some of which are recovering from domestic violence situations, while others are in need of emergency food assistance due to unemployment.
Mork and staff recently spent Thanksgiving Day cooking and delivering turkey dinners to Vancouver families in need. Local purveyors are participating as well, including hams from Carlton Farms and produce from Sheridan Fruit Company. The menu will feature house-cured ham, honey glazed carrots, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese casserole, dinner rolls, and apple pie.
Lapellah Restaurant and Bar features a wood-fired oven and grill. From masterful plating to the handmade interior of their restaurant, they take a sustainable approach, working with local purveyors and composting more than 80% of their waste. They are passionate about using only the highest quality, locally sourced ingredients for each of their culinary creations.
Lapellah is located at downtown Vancouver at 2520 Columbia House Blvd, Vancouver WA 98661, and is my favorite lunch/happy hour spot... Stop by for great service and creative culinary delights!

Thank you to PDX wordpress for information on this event and the Lapellah website for the pictures.
