Market Report Brookfield Wisconsin ending October 31, 2008

Brookfield has experienced sales on a monthly basis this year that are above and below last years' numbers. There isn't a consistent pattern of increasing or decreasing numbers. The numbers for September and October were a bit better than the 2007 sold numbers.

October Sales in 2007 were 25, this year was 23. September sales this year were 39 - up from 32 last year.

New listings in October were u pto 58 -- from 49 last year. Since January we have seen fewer homes coming on the market than 2007.

Year to date sales are down almost 13% and listing inventory is down almost 21%.

Current inventory is 246 homes on the market. This means that there is 10 months of inventory on the market currently indicating that it is still a "buyers market" in the marketplace.

It's my Anniversary...Not Wedding, Not AR, Not Real Estate.....

I seldom keep track of anniversaries...can't tell you the day I was licensed, how many years we have been in the house we built...etc.....But today...I can tell you today is the first anniversary of my lapband surgery from the very wonderful, friendly, caring,

Dr. Manfred Chiang.

From the height of more than a little chubbiness....until today...I have lost 77 pounds. For those of you Skinny Minneys and Marks who say...oh great....she quit eating the donuts....snacking on M & M's and drinking gallons of soda....of course you lost weight...JUST WAIT.....so not true. A number of years and pounds ago...(not an anniversary I choose to remember) I became diabetic. My blood sugar regardless of diet, exercise and insulin was out of control....high and bouncing all over the charts. A trip to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester,MN got me off every drug I was on and introduced me to a new kind of insulin...and life was good. And then...because it was an insulin apparently not widely used or known....Eli Lily opted to discontinue making it. Trial and error with other insulin...and literally hundreds of units a day packed on pounds.,...and added other health complications commonly associated with obesity:

Sleep Apnea (forget those silly masks...couldn't do it)
Joint pain (ouch....those knees were being asked to bear the brunt of my mega insulin doses)
High blood pressure (Add one more pill to the idiot box so I didn't forget to take it)

Do you know what your BMI is and what it should be ? Here is a calculator....be honest...complete your height and weight and BINGO it will tell you.

Talk about CHANGE....if you are preently overweight, insulin dependent...not wanting to be a type 2 diabetic,...struggling with sleep apnea, high blood pressure, lack of energy....you have "everything to lose" by at least going to one of the seminars offered by the Bariatric Institute if you are in southeastern Wisconsin...if you are not...do yourself, your health, your life a favor....talk with someone who is an expert in the field of bariatrics. If you want to talk with someone who has had a lapband...call me...I am only toooooo happy to sing the praises of the procedure and be living testimony to the results!
