The GOOD NEWS IS: Menomonee Falls has experienced increasing sales for 4 out of the last 5 months. The numbers for the year are still down from 2007 but they are improving. The sales for October were 28 - a 33% increase over 2007.

New listings in October were 39-- dead even with last year. Since January we have seen fewer homes coming on the market than 2007. We are down over 10.9% for the year.

This indicates the market is getting better, with fewer homes in inventory and a little quicker sales for the properties that are on the market.

Current inventory is 179 homes on the market. This means that there is over 5 months of inventory on the market.

Inventory is decreasing, if you are thinking of buying this may be the right time to still have a good selection!

One of the newest strip centers in the Falls now has opened a medical center.....The Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert and Community Health has opened the Endocrinology Center at North Hills.

This treatment center is for diabetes and other endocrine disorders. The Menomonee Falls center is staffed by Medical College of Wisconsin faculty physicians, with expertise in diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome and pituitary, thyroid and lipid disorders.

The physicians are medical staff members at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.

The center is in the Community Memorial Medical Commons located at

W129 N7055 Northfield Drive, Menomonee Falls.

Reporting on sales and activity for Menomonee Falls Wisconsin for the month ending September 30, 2008.

September sales in Menomonee Falls show as 29 closings. In 2007 data shows 26 sales for the same time period. Year to date there have been 275 sales, in 2007 there were 333 for the same period.

There are currently 245 active listings in Menomonee Falls. That is a little over 9 months supply on the market. This indicates that we are still in a buyers market. When inventory is at 5 months or less, it is considered a "sellers" market.

Sales are up this month from 2007 - that is a good sign.

NATIONWIDE:

Building permits across the country are down to just under a million, historically this is an INDICATOR that we have reached the BOTTOM of the market.

If sales for this past month are an indicator, sales are increasing. That is good news for the economy and the seller's in the area.
