IT'S FINALLY RAINING!
Yes, that's water on my deck and I think it is falling from the sky.....not sure though since it seems that it has been months since it has rained in our neck of the woods. It makes you wonder how the trees and plant life survives. You see I live in an area that the professionals are calling an "extreme drought area" this year.
My little garden is still surviving despite the fact that we quit watering it a month ago in fear that our well water may run dry. In fact, as I write this, I have a pan of squash frying on the stove.
Of course I don't believe I could survive without running water. It makes me wonder how our ancestors did it. I suppose if you never had it, you wouldn't miss it. (That's what "they" say anyway).
By the way, who are "they"? Have you ever thought about that? We are always saying "that's what they say. I want to know who "they" are. "They" must be very knowledgeable on a lot of subjects because we are always referring to what "they" say.
If you know who "they" are, will you let me know? I think I will sign out now and go watch my squash frying and watch the water falling from the sky. Good Evening!

Hampshire County WV - Wapocoma Campground
This past Saturday a few of us attended the Hampshire County, WV 2nd Annual Bluegrass Festival and Fireworks at Wapocoma Campground. The heat was oppressive but the food and music were delightful. Unfortunately we were unable to stay until the fireworks and left before dusk.
Wapocoma Campground is located in beautiful Hampshire County, WV along the majestic South Branch of the Potomac River and 5 miles south of Romney, WV. Over 100 acres of pristine camping land and over 2000 feet of shoreline makes this a destination sure to please everyone.

This is an ideal location for water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, or just floating lazily down the river. The fish and fun are abundant. Be sure to visit if you get up that way. For more info: www.wapocomacampground.com.

Now we are going to have to work a little harder to call someone in WV. Starting on Feb 28th West Virginians will now have to dial 10 digits (area code+phone number)to place a local call. Actually you can do it now, it will just be mandatory on Feb 28th.
Because the PSC has run out of phone numbers to hand out under the 304 area code, a new area code has been created (681) and will be handed out on all new phone numbers starting March 28th.
If you would like further information click on the link below.
http://www.psc.state.wv.us/10_DigitDialing/default.htm
So remember, if you ask for a client's phone number, make sure you now get the area code.

Well, everything else is changing, so I guess it was my turn to do so also. I have left Country Homes Real Estate Firm in Petersburg and have moved to United Country Homeplace Properties in Capon Bridge WV.
But that is not the only thing that will change. The new office I will be working out of is about 300 yards from the Virginia/West Virginia line. So once I get settled in, I will be working on getting my VA real estate license also.
If you are ever in the Capon Bridge WV area on Tuedays, stop in and say Hi. It is my floor day and I would be glad to meet you.
